Males grow larger and develop more pronounced coloration;
females are smaller and less intensely colored.

Very large aquarium with extensive open swimming space.
Fine sand substrate with a few scattered rocks.
Emphasis on open areas rather than dense rockwork.
Diet:
Piscivorous predator feeding mainly on other fishes.
