Genus: Pseudotropheus
Biotope: Intermediate habitat, occupying large sections of the upper 3 m.
Geographic distribution: Occurs around Likoma Island, Lake Malawi.
Sexual dimorphism: Females are dark brown and lack the light blue coloration present in the male’s dorsal fin.
Aggression: Aggressive species.
Special notes: Resembles Pseudotropheus fuscus closely and shows a superficial resemblance to Pseudotropheus tursiops.
