Tyrannochromis sp. 'macrostoma short pedicel' Kirondo

Breeding:
Known from a comparison with T. macrostoma: a sexually active male T. macrostoma
builds a semi-circular sand wall against a rock, forming a spawning dish of about
50 cm diameter; this is noted as much smaller than the spawning dish of
T. nigriventer, which can exceed 1 m in diameter.
Special notes:
A single specimen is reported with a melanin pattern resembling
T. macrostoma but with a short premaxillary pedicel; it is referred to as
Tyrannochromis sp. 'macrostoma short pedicel'.
