Genus: Copadichromis
Type locality: Charley’s Bay, Lake Malawi, Mozambique
Biotope: Rocky shoreline habitat
Geographic distribution: Eastern shoreline of Lake Malawi, from a few kilometers north of Meponda to the Lumessi River
Typical adult size: Up to approximately 14 cm
Recommended aquarium size: Minimum tank length 125 cm; aquarium volume at least 200 litres
Aquarium setup: Provide open swimming space combined with rocky shoreline structures; suitable for calm community setups with other peaceful utaka
Diet: Plankton feeder in the water column
Breeding: Maternal mouthbrooder
Aggression: Moderate; territorial behaviour mainly during breeding
Special notes: Described by Stauffer & Konings (2006). Previously known in the hobby as Copadichromis sp. ‘verduyni blueface’.
