Genus: Tropheops
Biotope: Intermediate habitat.
Geographic distribution: Chitimba Reef and nearby reefs in Youngs Bay.
Sexual dimorphism: Males are entirely yellow, apart from a bluish anal fin. Females are yellow.
Special notes: Part of the “macrophthalmus chitimba” complex. This form includes yellow males and yellow females and is distinct from T. sp. ‘macrophthalmus chitimba blue’ and T. sp. ‘macrophthalmus gallireya’ based on coloration and morphological differences.
