Biotope: Open water areas around rocky habitats.
Geographic distribution: Lake Malawi; restricted to the vicinity of Mbenji Island.
Typical adult size: Up to about 14 cm
Recommended aquarium size: Minimum 200 litres; aquarium length at least 125 cm
Aquarium setup: Open swimming space combined with rocky structures and sandy substrate.
