Genus: Pseudotropheus
Biotope: Rocky habitat.
Geographic distribution: Known from Meponda in Mozambique and Gome in Malawi.
Special notes: A small aggressive species lacking a black submarginal band in the dorsal fin. It resembles Pseudotropheus sp. ‘variable mozambique’, which differs by possessing a distinct black submarginal band in the dorsal fin.
