Genus: Copadichromis
Biotope: Open water (utaka), associated with sandy and intermediate habitats.
Geographic distribution: Lake Malawi; reported from the Lundu area, Tanzania.
Typical adult size: Up to about 16 cm.
Recommended aquarium size: Minimum 250 litres; aquarium length at least 125 cm.
Aquarium setup: Fine sand substrate with ample open swimming space; some rocks may be used but emphasis should be on open areas rather than dense rockwork.
Aggression: Typical utaka temperament; generally peaceful, with mild intraspecific aggression possible among males.
