Genus: Tropheops
Biotope: Shallow wave-washed rocky habitat on a steeply sloping shoreline.
Geographic distribution: Rocky coast south of Lumessi, Mozambique.
Special notes: This species inhabits the shallow surf zone and is noted to resemble Tropheops sp. ‘red cheek’ in both male and female coloration.
