Biotope: Soft sandy bottom. Observed scooping sand from the substrate while feeding.
Geographic distribution: Minos Reef, Mozambique, Lake Malawi.
Typical adult size: Up to approximately 14 cm.
Recommended aquarium size: At least 250 liters.
