Genus: Sciaenochromis
Biotope: Deep-water habitats.
Typical adult size: Reported to reach about 17 cm total length.
Special notes: A deep-water species resembling Sciaenochromis sp. ‘deep water’ and Sciaenochromis sp. ‘psammophilus broad’ in overall shape, but larger than Sciaenochromis sp. ‘deep water’. It is one of several undescribed deep-water members of the genus mentioned in the literature.
