Genus: Mylochromis
Biotope: Sandy habitat.
Geographic distribution: Lake Malawi; recorded from Nkhomo Reef.
Special notes: Resembles Mylochromis sphaerodon in having a solid, narrow diagonal stripe and a yellow anal fin. It differs by a shorter snout and a larger mouth.
