Genus: Copadichromis
Biotope: Sandy bays along the western shore; sandy substrate in open areas
Geographic distribution: Western shore of Lake Malawi, south of Chilumba; known from Youngs Bay and Chitimba Bay
Sexual dimorphism: Females in Chitimba Bay lack flank spots, while juveniles exhibit them; females in Youngs Bay have small flank spots
Breeding: Males construct a sand-castle type bower with a relatively small rock positioned in the rim of the spawning dish
Special notes: Resembles Copadichromis sp. “chizumulensis londo”; occurs at approximately 10 m depth in Youngs Bay and about 22 m depth in Chitimba Bay
